Apple decided to eliminate the application NetShare from their official iTunes Store within hours of its release. The aforementioned application, developed by Nullriver, provides a SOCKS5 proxy that allows users to turn their iPhone into a modem, making the tethering process easy, even for multiple computers at a time.
It should be noted that there are plenty of how-to tether your iPhone guides on the Internet, its just a matter of googling it and having a bit of patience to do the configurations, so anyway, iPhone users interested in this functionality are STILL being able to use it, however, it’s no longer as easy as purchasing an app that will do all the configurations for you. Anyhow, you should take into account that if you are an AT&T customer, you will violate your terms of service by tethering your iPhone.
Nullriver, a Canadian software company, is best known to many of us for their Installer application meant for jailbroken iPhones. Since official applications (the ones developed with the official iPhone API) are to be distributed exclusively on the official iTunes Store, Nullriver isn’t making NetShare available from its website.
This kind of move from Apple only causes more jailbroken iPhones… so I hope Apple to reconsider their posture about this issue soon…

Dam they took it the second time around before I could buy it, apple is definately pushing us to jailbreak our phones, bring back the app, people are anyway using more complicated methods and third party apps to tether their phones, i guess it would be better off for apple to control who tethers anyway.
Cheers
